Okinawa

Our scrapbook notes about Okinawa

Okinawa is labelled as the Hawaii of Japan. Quite a way away from the main Island, Okinawa hosts some of the best beaches and some of the best dive spots. This area of Japan may also be recognised due to their horrific experiences in WWII, which has led to a fair few American army bases being located around the island. However, don't let that put you off! Many Japanese main-landers travel to Okinawa for peaceful times relaxing on the beach and diving into the ocean. It's the perfect destination for beach bums as well as backpackers as the island has a lot of offer. Flights out of the mainland aren't too expensive but you need to fly back in order to get anywhere else. Sports–lovers  will like.
