Our scrapbook notes about Nara

Nara was apparently Japan's first real capital city. This country seems to change it's capital city more than the average person changes their underwear....
Anyway, Nara is worth visiting if you're near Kyoto or Osaka, or simply travelling between the two. It is a much smaller city than the latter, but good to travel to as quite compact so you can cover the area quite easily. There are 8 UNESCO world heritage sites in total and wild deer roaming the whole town. A beautiful place with a lot of fields and trees, unlike any nearby city.
