Giza

Our scrapbook notes about Giza

Giza is the third largest city in Egypt and lies west of the river Nile. Giza is most famously known for its Great Pyramid, which is one of the 7 wonders of the world. The city is filled with heaps of ancient Egyptian artefacts, culture and, of course Egyptian myths. You will find the Great Sphinx as well as a vast amount of other Pyramids and temples. Giza isn't exactly a typical backpacker hotspot but it certainly can be quite touristy.
