Our scrapbook notes about Belgrade

Belgrade (Beograd to the locals) is the capital of the Eastern European country of Serbia. Belgrade is not most attractive of cities with a vast amount of Soviet style concrete grey buildings, however the city has potential and is growing as a cultural and backpacker hotspot. The city is accessible by train and plane, and even boat as it hosts the Danube and Sava rivers. A very cheap city for Europe to travel within, both on the accommodation and food front. Belgrade's biggest appeal does seem to be the nightlife, with an array of underground clubs, bars in secluded flats and boat clubs.
